Terms of Service
Last updated 14 July 2026
Agreement
These Terms govern your use of CafeTimer, provided by HandyCafe, LLC (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the software, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service and plans
CafeTimer offers a Free plan (up to 2 stations and 2 members, single venue, offline), a paid Local plan (unlimited stations, single venue) and a Cloud plan (multi-venue, sync and remote monitoring). Features and limits of each plan are described on the pricing page and may change over time.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be authorized to bind the business you register.
Payment and renewal
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown in USD with regional pricing at checkout. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, including attempting to breach security, reverse-engineer the software except as permitted by law, resell the service without authorization, or use it to violate any law or third-party right.
Your data and content
You retain ownership of the venue, member and billing data you enter. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service (for example, to store and sync your data on Cloud plans). Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The software, its design and the CafeTimer and HandyCafe marks are owned by us and our licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service, not any ownership in it.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or where required to protect the service or other users.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts of [JURISDICTION] unless your local consumer law provides otherwise.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date; continued use after changes means you accept them.
